Photo Uploads and Final Notes

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick note that we have less than 7 days to go until we will be Mr and Mrs Beckingham!

On Saturday the coffee shop will be open from 11 - 12 - nice coffees and teas and some nibbles are available - a lovely way to prepare for the day ahead!

We would love to have copies of your photos from the wedding - its always interesting to see other perspectives of the day. The way we would like to do this is via Picasa Web Albums (picasaweb.google.com). You need to log in with a google account and then you can upload the photos by clicking the upload button and following the instructions. Once completed, select the album and on the right hand bar, select the link to this album. Email us the link or, if you don't mind the photos being available to all, comment below.

We will also add a link to some of the official ones here in due course.

Looking forward to seeing you next Saturday.

Places to Eat

Places to Eat

King’s is a short walk from the city centre, where there are plenty of great options for meals or snacks. A few of our favourites are:

  • ·         Giraffe: http://www.giraffe.net/ A wide variety of world food options; everyone will find something they can enjoy here (Even Ed!)
  • ·         Pinocchio’s: www.pinocchiosrestaurant.net A Mediterranean food restaurant selling pizza’s, pasta and other hearty dishes.
  • ·         Wagamama’s www.wagamama.com Really yummy Japanese style food, and good value too.
  • ·         Adam and Eve Pub; 17 Bishopgate, NR3 1RZ. Lovely little pub, just through the cathedral grounds. Serves great food all day, but may be busy!
  • ·         The Glass House, Wetherspoons pub: www.jdwetherspoon.co.uk A nice weatherspoons pub, serves good value food and beer.
  • ·         The Waffle House: http://www.wafflehouse.co.uk/  Warning, contains lots of waffles! But good if you want something a bit different.

Getting to the King's Centre

Can you believe we’re getting married in one month?! How exciting! That means it’s time for the practical and specific bits of information for the day. If there’s anything we’ve not mentioned below, then, as always, please contact us directly.

Getting to The King’s Centre

King’s has a fantastic website and so please have a look there for maps and details of how to get to the venue.

For information on how to get to King’s, see: http://www.kingsnorwich.com/?content=Contact

For suggestions of local car parks, see: http://www.kingsnorwich.com/?content=KingsCentre

Kings is also a short walk from Norwich Train Station, and is close to the city centre bus stations. Norwich airport is also pretty convenient too for anyone coming from further afield!

Gift List Information

Welcome back!

We’re so excited and blessed by the number of people that are coming to our wedding and can’t wait to enjoy celebrating with you all. You attending is a huge gift, and we certainly don’t require a gift in return.

However a few people have been asking whether we have a gift list, and so we’ve set one up.

We had a rather fun, tiring but enjoyable trip to John Lewis to choose some practical yet attractive items for our home.  The gift list will be open from 28th August for 8 weeks (so until 2 weeks after the wedding).

To see the items on the list go to: www.johnlewisgiftlist.com
Alternatively you can view the list in store or speak to someone about it by phone on: 0345 600 2202

The list code is: 593726.

Places to Stay

Places to Stay

Not everyone is fortunate enough to live in Norwich. If you need some accommodation there’s a few options for a range of budgets, some within walking distance of King’s. Some suggestions are below, but do look at www.visitnorwich.co.uk for plenty more ideas.
  • Holiday Inn Norwich City: this is in a great location for King’s- a 10 minute walk away. Its also close to the train station, right next to the Norwich Canaries Football ground and not far from the river Yare. http://www.holidayinn-norwichcity.co.uk
  • Maids Head Hotel: A beautiful historic hotel; the oldest in the UK! Look out for offers on their website: www.maidsheadhotel.co.uk
  • Oakland’s Hotel: Has a range of bedrooms for a range of prices. This is a nice hotel near a great pub! A 10 minute drive from King's http://www.oaklands-hotel.co.uk/
